An exciting romp through a rail-side portable market, where the vendors sell their wares and food stuffs alongside an operational railway (the closing umbrella market). Each time the train arrives, vendors snap umbrellas closed while the hawkers quickly pack it up to let the train pass, then each returns to their spot to reset and sell again. Combine this "risky" experience with a more environmental and eco-focused afternoon, cruising by long tailed boat down the Mae Klong River, twisting through the mangrove forests, feeding a troop of monkeys on the way. Closer to the gulf the estuary provides an optimal environment for oyster and mussels to be grown. End the eco / cultural adventure by enjoying a seafood lunch on the decks of a stilted house or "Krateng" set high above the waters.
